loans, government and strawberries.

WHO WOULD YOU CHOOSE AS PRESIDENT IN 2012?

If it were up to you, who would YOU choose to represent you as the leader of your country in the 2012 Presidential Election? Who do you believe would best represent your community? Your family? What do you believe are the most critical issues that will decide the winner of the 2012 election? What issues are most important to YOU as a college student or soon-to-be? In less than 600 words, tell us who you want as your next president. No issue is off limits. No candidate is off limits. This is your chance to voice your opinions about what matters to you most.

We need to get rid of Republicans in the US government. They impede all of the positive changes that need to occur in government. There are so many changes with Barack Obama that he is trying to make but the republicans don't allow those changes to happen, therefore making him look bad- yet criticizing him on the same issues they prevent from happening. Barack Obama is still the right candidate for 2012.

The Bush Administration destroyed the US and all of its potentials for the future. It left this country in ruin- with no jobs, education cuts, bad banking shenanigans, etc. Of course the current president is being blamed for these things but they were inherited events that he has to clean up while Bush and his family are still reaping glories of profit with the oil/gas earnings. Republicans don't let change occur.

Democratic candidates suit my family and community the best. Immigration is a gigantic issue in this country. Of Mexican heritage, I care for the current issues of border patrol. Working and knowing some illegal immigrants, they are hard workers and hold two jobs at times and are not treated equally as far as pay and fairness is concerned. I don't know how they work so much. Day after day- and yet they are constantly threatened by getting deported or losing their job.

I don't understand what is going on with this country. College is unaffordable, yet we are all urged to get a college degree. Loans are available of course but how will these loans be paid back? There are currently not enough jobs. What is going to happen to the children that graduate into this economic mess? They can get a loan for college, but how will it be paid back in this economy? The people offering loans know that there are not enough jobs.

Illegal immigrants do jobs I am not prepared to do. Like working in the agricultural fields. If immigration is "solved" and the job market continues to fail, maybe to pay back loans, I shall try to pick strawberries.
